Learn to weave on a Rigid Heddle Loom
The rigid heddle loom is easy to use and a great starter loom. If you don't have your own loom, please indicate when buying tickets. We have a limited number of looms available.
In the class, we will learn to put a warp on the loom and weave both solid colours and two-colour designs.
You will make two place mats/table runners and learn the process of weaving lovely textiles from start to finish.
Materials provided: Cotton yarn to make two placemats or table runners.
If you have a loom that you want to use, it must be in working order. You also need the gear that came with your loom: 7.5dpi heddle, a warping peg, two clamps, two shuttles, and a threading hook.
Morning tea will be provided. Bring your own lunch (Coffee, tea, refrigerator and microwave available).
Minimum of 4 students, the class will be cancelled 48 hours prior if the minimum is not met.
