Weaving Our Way to Wellbeing” Cultural Program

Core Objective

To provide Dubbo youth with a unique opportunity to connect with Elders, explore cultural heritage, and strengthen their sense of identity and wellbeing through immersive, community-driven experiences.

Key Activities

• Cultural tours to significant local sites, deepening understanding of country and tradition

• Intergenerational storytelling sessions with Elders, sharing wisdom and lived experience

• Hands-on creative workshops that foster cultural expression and skill-building

Program Outcomes

• Strengthened cultural identity and pride among young participants

• Enhanced wellbeing and resilience through community connection

• Building a sense of belonging and mutual support within Dubbo’s Aboriginal community

Aboriginal youth in Dubbo seeking to connect with culture, community, and Elders in a supportive, engaging environment.
