Weaving Stories
Event description
Returning once again to Story Festival, join Aunty Colleen minungkana Mundy and Cheryl Mundy trimanya to learn the skills to weave small objects in this relaxed palawa-led workshop, sharing culture and stories.
Come sit and share a yarn or two, and get your hands busy in this introductory workshop to weaving. Surprise yourself with what you might make and share.
This workshop is open to everyone, even if you have never weaved before!
Using and sharing a mixture of natural fibers and recycled materials from local waterways, this is a special opportunity to learn from and collaborate with two renowned artists and knowledge holders from the palawa community.
