Event description

Join us on World Humanitarian Day as we go on an inspiring journey, weaving stories of change over Fair Trade afternoon tea. Our international guest speaker Mitos Urgel is travelling from Chiang Mai Thailand to share how WEAVE, a Fair Trade social enterprise is supporting women and girls impacted by the refugee crisis on the Thai/ Myanmar border. Mitos will be joined by local WA brands creating impact through fashion and craft - a unique opportunity to ask questions and learn what drives their passion.

- Experience hands-on the healing power of weaving as contemporary Indigenous artist Polly Wilson guides you though your own mini basket weaving project using raffia.

- Then sit back and enjoy a Fair Trade afternoon tea journey by Shona of The Hidden Pantry. Gain insights into the producers, ingredients and recipes that bring meaning and connection to the food we eat.
