    Event description

Are you interested in weaving? Come satisfy your curiosity! We will discuss different ways that humans have made fabric throughout history, and you can gain a better understanding of what goes into the creation of cloth!

This hands-on class goes for 2.5 hours and you will be able to take home your own piece of handwoven cloth – we’ll also talk about ways you might like to use what you’ve made.

No prior weaving experience or equipment required – I will have looms and yarns on hand to play with. You are also welcome to BYO yarn if you have something particular you want to try. (Please advise if you cannot use certain animal fibre, such as wool or alpaca, so that I can supply alternatives.)

Minimum class size of 4 persons applies – in the event that the minimum is not reached the class will not run and we will contact you to either refund or carry over to another suitable workshop.

Suitable for ages 10+ (under 18’s must be accompanied by an adult).

This event is part of the 2023 East Gippsland Winter Festival, running from 9 June - 9 July. For the full festival program, please visit: https://egwinterfest.com.au/
