Weaving the Red Thread - New Moon Workshop

A workshop for girls aged 10-15yrs old and their families, empowering positive menstrual culture in families and communities. Supporting and empowering your daughter as she moves towards her menarche (the first period) and cyclical living.

Over the weekend we will explore the science, the philosophy and the psychology of the embodiment of a positive menstrual family.

The New Moon Workshop presents participants with an alternate view of the menstrual cycle, one very different to that portrayed by the media. We explore the quiet, and sometimes loud ways, our body informs us of its needs. In doing so, it provides an opportunity arises to develop an authentic respect for our bodies and and minds.

So what that means practically is that the weekend is for the family! Mums/Dads/Mentors and the daughters.

Our weekend Itinerary

1x Mother (or female mentor) session (Friday evening - 6-9pm)
1 x Dad session (or male mentor) (Saturday afternoon 3-5pm)
1 x Mother/Daughter session (Sunday 9-2pm)

Weekend Workshop:

Different Tickets options available
- family ticket to the whole weekend = 1 adult female, 1 adult male, 1 daughter
- extra daughter ticket for the Sunday Mother Daughter Session
- ticket to friday night mother session and sunday mother daughter session only
- single ticket to mothers friday night session only
- single ticket to fathers saturday afternoon session only

Mother/Female Mentor session - Friday 26th February evening 6-9pm

This evening session is 3 hours, it includes a focus on women’s wisdom and facilitated education of the menstrual cycle from a traditional, hormonal and cyclical philosophy. We will sit within a circle exploring the story of menarche and the wisdom mothers live.

To deepen this experience we highly recommend, if you are interested to attend the Wise Woman rising workshop with Judy Mort () on Saturday 20th February.

Please note you do not need to have an active menstrual cycle to attend this session.

Dad/Male Mentor session - Saturday 27th February 3-5pm

A 2hr facilitated education session layering in the knowledge and tools around the female hormonal cycle. Practical tips to support your relationship within a girls transformative years.

Seasonal menstrual mandala - raise your awareness of a womans cycle.
Learn to deepening connection and encouraging open communication.
Learn how to create a positive menstrual home environment.
Craft a letter to your daughter for her first period - this will be gifted into her Lunar Box.
Menarche - what is it and how can we celebrate and honour this time.

Mother Daughter Circle - Sunday 28th February 9-2pm

A facilitated mother daughter workshop, practical, fun and hands on experience of sharing wisdom, knowledge and excitement.

Supporting mother daughter bonding for the next generation of girls.

It is our intention that this community space serves as a space to explore menstrual education & the wonders of a womxn cyclical life. It is an opportunity to explore and celebrate this powerful rite of passage creating a positive menstrual culture within your community for the next generation of daughters.

Sahara Contempree - Empowering Menstrual Educator and Cyclical Consultant My Rhythmic BEing

Sahara is particularly focused on Womxn's Menstrual Cyclical Wellbeing. Womxn are gifted self knowing deeply through Cycle Awareness and Sahara is passionate in sharing and supporting womxn to know and practice this. She is honoured to work with premenstrual girls, introducing them to a wholistic view of blossoming into womanhood and cyclical life.
