Weaving the Stories We Carry Parent Circle and Weaving Session
Description
Weaving the Stories We Carry
Join us for a gentle, reflective session exploring the stories we carry from birth and early parenting - parents are welcome wherever they are on their parenting journey.
Parents and carers are invited to share as much or as little of their story as they choose, in a safe, welcoming and strengths-based space facilitated by experienced South West Metro Parenting Service practitioners.
As we talk and reflect, you’ll also have the opportunity to try basket weaving, with guidance and support from an experienced weaver. No weaving or artistic experience is needed.
Following the session, participants will be invited to contribute their weaving, artwork, words or other creative pieces to our Weaving the Stories We Carry community exhibition during Perinatal and Infant Mental Health Week. Taking part in the exhibition is completely optional.
Mums, dads, gender-diverse parents, foster parents and other caregivers are warmly welcome.
Light refreshments and all weaving materials will be provided.
