Weaving with Weeds

Join Robyn Morris NSW Basketry member to make a small basket from prepared weeds and grasses using the traditional technique of “twining”. 

All materials and equipment supplied. There will be a good variety of gathered fibers to provide colour and texture to your woven piece. Plus, you will be shown how to harvest, dry and rehydrate the grasses ready for weaving. 

Suitable for all ages, however good fine motor skills are required. Generally, primary aged children can’t manage the technique so will need to be assisted by a parent and or guardian.

Cost: $35pp to be paid directly to the facilitator.
