Kia ora and welcome to the first workshop hosted by, a newly formed Youth Group, Raise Up!

We are excited to announce that we have 20 spaces available for youth, between the ages of 13-18years, to attend a free flax weaving workshop.

Local artist and weaver, Vicky Hiha, will be facilitating the Workshop and sharing some of her valuable knowledge on raranga. You will learn a few basic skills and spend a couple of hours making some creations of your own, plus get some tasty snacks and meet some cool people.

No matter what your experience level is, we would love for you to come along, get creative and have some fun! Doors open at 6.10pm.

A little bit about us: we are a group students wanting to provide other rangatahi opportunities to learn new skills, meet new people and engage with the community.
