Rainbow Threads Weaving Workshop
Event description
DUE TO UNFORSEEN CIRCUMSTANCES THIS EVENT IS POSTPONED TO 2024.
Rainbow Threads and Queer Elders and Community Lunch
Join us for a special weaving workshop where our LGBTQIA+SB First Nations and Jewish communities come together to honour our shared values of inclusion, love, and resilience. This workshop will be run by Auntie Kerrie Kenton.
By interlacing different threads, we will create a truly unique design that embodies strength, beauty and oneness. Each session will also hold space for participants to share their own narratives and LGBTQIA+SB experiences.
For any further questions, please contact: reception@tranby.edu.au or General Manager of Stand Up, Speedy Shatari: speedy@standup.org.au.
We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and recognise their continuing connection to land, waters and community. We pay our respects to them and their cultures and to Elders both past, present and extend this respect to future generations of leaders. We also acknowledge the Gadigal peoples of the Eora nation as the Traditional Educators, knowledge keepers and carers for Country on the land where our Sydney office stands.
This is a safe and inclusive space for all individuals. We proudly welcome and embrace LGBTQIA+SB and gender diverse community members. This venue is wheelchair accessible, and while some of the pathways may present a challenge due to uneven ground, the Tranby team are able to assist users if required (simply just ask at reception). If you have any questions or specific needs, please contact reception@tranby.edu.au 96603444.
