Weaving Your Own Story
Event description
Weaving workshop where you use materials such as personal objects, found materials, or natural fibres, to create a round woven wall artwork, run by Blue Mountains artist Sandi Lucock.
This work can be a reminder of an event, your favourite book and characters, or be a visual reminder of a loved one or their hobby. You will weave your memories with other materials and have them displayed in a prominent place where they will be a daily reminder of what that person, event, location, or book meant to you at a particular time in your life.
Participants are to bring items they want to weave into their work such as badges, feathers, ribbons, pages from a book for example. Note the objects must be able to be adhered to the woven work with thread or natural materials so must have a pin, a loop or a hole already in existence on the item.
