weavr Yalawanyi 2022
Event description
Since it's launch in October 2021, weavr has certainly made an impact in the Reconciliation movement. To celebrate this important milestone and build on the work contributed through weavr and its Community for Change members, we're holding an event, simply known as Yalawanyi - meaning 'a place to sit together' in our co-founder's language of Gathang.
This unique and completely Indigenous run event will feature:
Morning
- Welcome to Country, Cultural performance and welcome from the weavr team
- The weavr journey so far, the Innovating Partners and Early Users
- Sharing Yarn: Embedding Indigenous culture in your organisation's culture - Get adoption from your organisation that sticks beyond NAIDOC and NRW
Afternoon
- Sharing Yarn: Activating your Strategy after the launch event - Keys to starting, managing and maximising the outcomes from your strategy (and how weavr will support your success)

There will be Indigenous Elders, Torres Strait cultural performance, lunch provided by Indigenous caterer, as well as loads of truth-telling and yarns... All by Indigenous people✊🏽
Whether you are part of the weavr Community for Change or ready to activate your Reconciliation journey and reach your organisation's full potential in social impact, this event is an event like no other 😁
You can join us in person in Brisbane, or online from wherever you are.
As this event includes contributions from several Indigenous business professionals, there will be a small fee for tickets because it is important that Indigenous people are paid for their time.
Suggestions and/or questions for the day - We are facilitating this day, including the Sharing Yarns and the Truth-telling panel, but the sessions are designed so all of you are part of the conversation - after all, these are yarns to share all of our experiences, challenges and good news, so we can all continue to navigate this reconciliation journey together 😀. We encourage all Attendees (In-person or Online) to submit a question that you would like to discuss on any of the Sharing Yarns, or that you would like to ask the panel. You can submit these during checkout.
If you have any questions, please reach out to us on info@weavrsys.com.
Thanks to everyone involved, and we can't wait to see you all there.
