Webinar: DEECA's energy consumer guide - assistance for households with energy affordability
Description
The Department of Energy, Environment, and Climate Action (DEECA) has released Your Energy Your Savings, a new guide outlining the full range of State Government services, programs and supports for energy customers. This will help Victorians understand and navigate what's changing in our energy system, what it means for households, and how to reduce energy bills and get support when needed.
In this webinar, we'll hear from DEECA on the features of the guide, and from VCOSS member organisations on the experiences of the people they assist with the energy market.
The session will include:
Everyday experiences of energy consumers and the support staff who work with them
Practical guidance on Victorian Government supports available to energy consumers
An open-floor discussion and knowledge sharing opportunity following presentations
In this webinar, you have the chance to share what challenges your clients face in reducing their energy costs, hear about what opportunities there are for referrals to additional services to support your clients, and how can DEECA help.
This session is free and open to all, but designed for community sector workers who provide information, advice, and assistance to energy consumers in Victoria.
Date: Friday 30 October
Time: 10-11:30
Format: online via Microsoft Teams
