    Webinar: Optimising the Placenta

The placenta is a temporary organ, established from the very first weeks of gestation. Optimal functionality is essential for pregnancy maintenance, as well as parental and infant survival and wellbeing until delivery and beyond.

Optimising the circumstances for placentation begins prior to conception, and maintaining and enhancing its functionality throughought pregnancy significantly influences viability, reduces risk of all major complications as well as immediate and long term health outcomes for both parent and child.

When managing every person wishing to conceive or already pregnant, the placenta should be at the centre of every practitioner's focus.

    Learning objectives and outcomes:

    • understand the integral nature of placental establishment and function.
    • learn key strategies to prepare your patients for ideal placentation.
    • confidently identify those at risk of complications.
    • understand how to best initiate assessments and successful interventions.
