AIDN and Adtran are delighted to present our next Webinar: Quantum-Safe Networking for Defense: Protecting Data in Transit Today.

ABOUT ADTRAN

Adtran is a leading global provider of open networking and communications solutions, helping service providers, government and defence organisations, cloud operators, and enterprises build secure, scalable, and resilient networks. Its portfolio spans optical networking, fibre access, cloud connectivity, network automation, and security technologies, enabling the reliable delivery of voice, data, video, and internet services. With a focus on innovation, operational simplicity, and future-ready infrastructure, Adtran supports organisations in meeting evolving connectivity and cybersecurity challenges.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN

Quantum computing is turning "harvest now, decrypt later" into a real risk for defence and government networks, while the full migration to post-quantum cryptography will take years.

The session shows how Layer 1 optical encryption closes that gap today, protecting every bit on the fibre with quantum-safe encryption, without adding latency or reducing throughput.

Attendees will learn:

Why the quantum threat is relevant now, and what regulators and standards bodies expect (NIST PQC standards, government PQC roadmaps)
How Layer 1 (optical) encryption works and how it compares\relates to Layer 2/3/4.. encryption
Post-quantum cryptography (ML-KEM) (and quickly QKD) in practice,
What government-grade approval means in practice in other countries (e.g. BSI-approved 400G encryption for classified networks)
Real-world deployments and practical first steps towards a quantum-safe network.
