Lynn Walmsley is the mother of two adult sons and one adult step son, the youngest of whom, Robert, has several disabilities. Lynn’s work experience prior to having her children included working in the disability sector. This experience led her to seek out parent advocacy organisations upon moving to Australia when the children were young, which then sparked Lynn’s quest for inclusive education, Robert obtaining work and inclusion in community.

Please Note: This webinar contains almost 2 full hours of content so we won’t be taking a break during the session. Because of this we will also be allowing some extra time at the end of the webinar to respond to questions or comments. If possible we hope you will stay an extra 10 to 15 minutes at the end.

Tips for getting the most out of the event

Using headphones can help – the headphones from your mobile phone are ideal. Just plug them in to the headphone jack of your computer
Test your setup before the session – you can do this any time via the webinar link above. Just click and test the session
Try to be in a quiet place – I know this isn’t always possible! Online learning is different to face to face and it can be hard to stay focussed, so do what you can to minimise distractions
Use a laptop or desktop if possible – if you can I would recommend you join via a laptop, desktop or tablet device, rather than a mobile phone

Asking questions and participating

You will have the opportunity to ask questions via the chat function. We will also endeavour to respond to questions you may have by providing links to additional resources and relevant information.
