The Mindful Workout is a yoga class to help you get out of your head and into the body.

Prerequisite: knowledge of The Yoga Shed's version of Sun Salutes. Please contact me if you don't have this and I can arrange for paid private intro session. A private session would involve an assessment of your strength and flexibility and practicing any modifications you may need for the class. It's also a chance for you to get familiar with environment and ask any questions you may need to help you get comfortable. Why can't I just drop in without prior knowledge? Please understand we have term booked students in this class and we can't keep going through the instructions for some of the common practices every time a new casual student comes in. The term booked students have also had to meet this prerequisite to join. We believe an intro session is a win win and helps new students feel comfortable and get the most out of their class.


Predominantly asana, this class features yoga postures and sequences to help you build strength and flexibility - mindfully. Strong body, strong mind.

  • you enjoy the idea of building strength and flexibility in a peaceful environment with serene music & mountain views 

then this may be the perfect class for you! 

While this class is predominantly focussed on the physical practices of yoga, you can always pair with it with some of our meditation, sound massage or private class offerings if you want to take your practice deeper and further. And as a standalone class, it's worth remembering that what you do at one level affects the others  - asana or physical practices positively affect mental and emotional health when done the yogic way.

So let's get moving in a calm, supportive and peaceful environment. Workouts don't have to be all about sweat and grind. That style isn't suited to everybody...

The Mindful Workout is for those who want to build strength and flexibility mindfully.
