Wednesday night slow social ride
Description
Ever wanted to do a slow, social ride but don't have time on weekends?
Perhaps you're new to Canberra and finding it hard to meet people? We know exactly what that's like.
Try our Wednesday night one in support of Loneliness Awareness Week 2026 (3-9 August), which this year has the theme Make Room for Connection.
We welcome all types of people on all types of cycles, scooters, skates, electric unicycles and electric skate boards.
We ride at a pace you can talk normally, and will roll around the central basin of Lake Burley Griffin, which is flat, well-lit, and offers gorgeous views of the National Triangle. We'll stop at Lindy Lee's tremendous Ouroboros sculpture at the National Gallery of Australia, then head back to the Street Theatre via Commonwealth Ave Bridge. Optional finish at the Mandalay Bus in Braddon if there's demand.
Wear layers at gets cool by the lake. Everyone must have their own cycle, helmet, and lights.
