Join consulting gardener and weed expert Kate Wall for an immersive experience to discover natural ways to deal with weeds - and find out what they are telling you about your soil, and discover if they might even have medicinal or edible properties.
You will leave the course knowing how to manage weeds specific to your own garden in a natural way.
What you will learn:
- What are your common home weeds telling you about your soil
- How to effectively manage weeds that you don't want (without chemicals)
- Which weeds are safe to compost
- Medicinal or edible uses of common local weeds
Participants are encouraged to bring along a collection of weeds that they are dealing with for a consult with Kate - Kate will be addressing deeper issues such as what the weeds can be telling you about the soil and how to effectively manage them
What to bring:
- A sample of weeds from your garden that you would like to I.D., and better manage
- Please wear closed shoes, a hat, water bottle & sunscreen
- Your favourite notebook & pen

Parking:
Free onsite parking (Take the turn off from Mt Samson Rd, into Green Thumb Farm. Take the first turn to the left which leads you past a little red building (this is where you will meet Kate for the workshop)
About Kate:
Kate Wall is a gardening consultant based in Brisbane, who specialises in teaching how to garden in harmony with nature. Kate focuses on sustainable and eco friendly gardening techniques which are better for the environment but also SO much easier than traditional approaches. Kate has a background in environmental science and her passions have lead her into the field of professional gardening. Kate has written several gardening books and has received peer recognition and industry awards for her work in the field. Kate runs regular gardening workshops and is often speaking at various garden clubs and events.
