We can’t wait to welcome you to WeedSmart Week 2026!

To ensure everything runs smoothly, here is some housekeeping information we recommend you read before the event.

Please bring a hat, water bottle, jumpers and rain jackets for days 2 and 3.

Day 1 – Tuesday 18th of August:

The forum day is located at the Griffith Regional Theatre, 1 Neville Pl, Griffith NSW 2680.

Doors open at 8am, with the program commencing at 8:45am. Please arrive early to allow time for registration and collecting your complimentary coffee from the coffee van!

Morning and afternoon tea, lunch, drinks and nibbles are included.

Formalities will conclude at 5pm, followed by a sundowner at the theatre from 5-6pm.

Afterwards, young attendees are invited to congregate at the Area Hotel for a social dinner at 6:30pm. (Pay your own way. We hear there is a $9.90 steak and chips special on!)

Day 2 – Wednesday 19th of August:

Buses will be leaving at 7:30am sharp from the Griffith Tourism Hub carpark (corner of Jondaryan Ave and Banna Ave) and will be leaving the final tour stop at 5pm. Buses will arrive back at the Griffith Tourism Hub carpark around 5:45pm. There is plenty of parking at the Tourism Hub and on surrounding streets.

Please be aware of biosecurity and do not drive into any paddocks. Come clean, go clean.

Lunch, snacks and a BBQ sundowner are included.

Optional Day 3 - Thursday 20th of August:

Buses for both tours will be leaving at 7:30am sharp from the Griffith Tourism Hub carpark.

The Dryland Farming Systems tour will leave it’s final tour stop around 4pm, returning to town at approx. 5:30pm. Lunch and snacks included.

The Innovation in Irrigated Weed Management Tour will be concluding at 12pm, returning to town around 12:15pm. Lunch and snacks included.
