Join NAWIC Wellington members to catch up for the first time in 2025

Help us kick off 2025 with the Wellington NAWIC crew. We’ll start with two guest speakers, get a quick roundup of the year ahead from our co-chairs, and then enjoy some nibbles, drinks, and general catch-ups. We have two excellent speakers lined up for you.

Natalie Ferguson: Co-founder and CXO of the investing platform Hatch, who, after a successful exit in 2021, turned her focus to another complex problem: the global gender leadership gap. Natalie co-founded Powrsuit alongside Kristen Lunman as a career accelerator for women at every stage of their careers. Their research-backed approach can support our members’ New Year’s resolutions to take their professional development from to-do lists and into weekly routines.

Cara Daggar: Many of our members will be familiar with Cara, who has spent 12 years in Wellington's construction sector, blending technical expertise and leadership in Design Management and BIM. She started her own company, Kea Construction Technology, in May of last year and has gone from strength to strength. Cara will be talking about finding ways to make your career work for you, and how what that means can change drastically overnight.

Cara was also the 2024 winner in the NAWIC Excellence Awards category: Excellence In Site Operational Management - Site or Field Award.

TIME:  Open from 5pm, talks begin at 5.30pm. 

VENUE: Thistle Hall, upstairs - 293 Cuba Street, Wellington, Aotearoa, NZ.

COST: FREE to NAWIC members and $10 for non-members. Anyone is welcome to join NAWIC here.

ABOUT THE VENUE 
Located at 293-295 Cuba Street, Thistle Hall is one of the few public halls remaining in central city Wellington. Originally built to store groceries and tea, the function of the hall has since been reinvented many times over: as a meeting place, a dancehall, a venue for gigs, a playground, a movie theatre, a classroom, a studio, and now a vibrant community centre and public art gallery. For one hundred years its totara floor has withstood jigs and reels, children's tricycles, star-jumpers, head-bangers, even earthquakes.
