Welcome Blanket Workshop - Urunga
Event description
We are making an embroidered patchwork blanket for the Bellingen Shire over three free workshops and would love you to join us. The workshops include materials and morning tea, along with embroidery instruction for those who need it. The patches will be stitched together to form a blanket to be used in evacuation centres in the event of a natural disaster. It will help our community feel safe and welcome at these times. This program is supported by the Commonwealth and NSW Government.
The workshops are an opportunity to contribute to the blanket as well as participate in discussion about preparedness and recovery.
We encourage you to participate in all 3 workshops where possible and to register prior to attending so we know how many to provide for.
