As part of National Arts and Humanities Month, please join us for an evening of conversation, connection, and community to welcome Shelley Hunter as the new president and CEO of Indiana Humanities.

Light refreshments will be served.

About Shelley Hunter

Shelley Hunter is a nonprofit executive and community leader with experience in philanthropy, education, fundraising, community engagement, and sports management. As CEO of College Mentors for Kids for 10 years, she led a national mentoring organization that connected college students to elementary school children, helping both groups develop confidence, leadership skills, and meaningful relationships. 

Shelley has also held leadership positions with Harrison College, Indiana University Foundation, the predecessor bank of JPMorgan Chase, and Indiana Sports Corporation. Her career has focused on building partnerships, strengthening organizations, and developing and growing programs that create positive community impact. 

She has been actively involved in numerous civic and volunteer leadership roles throughout Indiana. She has served on nonprofit boards, advisory committees, and host committees for major community and sporting events.   

Hunter received her bachelor’s degree from DePauw University and her master’s degree in philanthropic studies from the Lilly Family School of Philanthropy at Indiana University.
