Welcoming Cities Victorian Gathering

Join local government practitioners and community partners for an engaging afternoon focused on embedding welcoming practices across Victoria.

Held a little more than a week after the State Election and following the release of the latest Scanlon Foundation Research Institute's Mapping Social Cohesion findings, the gathering provides an opportunity to reflect on what these developments mean for local communities and the role of local government in building connection, trust, safety and belonging.

In partnership with Merri-bek City Council, learn practical insights from councils and experts working at the forefront of inclusion, community safety and civic participation, and connect with colleagues to share ideas, challenges and approaches. There will be ample time for informal discussions.
