About the event:Â
Have you ever wondered what you could do to assist people with disability in your local community to feel valued and included?Â
Our workshop ‘Welcoming People Well’ is designed as an introduction to the fundamentals for inclusion of people with disability. Relevant for business owners, community groups and individuals, by focusing on people’s strengths and our commonalities, ‘Welcoming People Well’ takes participants beyond simply improving physical access and will assist you to be truly inclusive of all people.

Learning ObjectivesÂ
• Know what exclusion and inclusion means for people with disability
• Learn about the social model and history of disability in Australia
• Be introduced to principles of inclusion
Who Should Attend?
This workshop is for anyone who wants to learn more about the value of truly including everyone in our community in an authentic way. You will hear firsthand the impact this can make on the lives of people with disability and ways you can make a personal positive impact.

control of their lives and take their place in their community.Â
These events are partly subsidised by a Department of Social Services grant. If cost is a barrier to attending, please contact CRU to discuss.
