- Selected steel available, please bring steel of your own (visiting the local engineering workshops skip bin is a good place to start collecting!)

Play is integral to Harries teaching style. The workshop combines playful discovery with critical thought and historical awareness.

Your teacher; Harrie Fasher is a professional artist exhibiting in Sydney and Melbourne. She has many accocolades including winning Sculpture by the Sea, Cottesloe in 2018, six time exhibitor in Sculpture by the Sea Bondi and being commissioned by the National Museum of Australia. A graduate from National Art School Sydney with honours in Sculpture, Fasher is dedicated to the atelier (studio) method of making art and mentoring urban and regional artists grow to their full potential.
Assisting run the workshop is practicing artist, steel fabricator and long time Studio Assistant, Nicole O’Regan, and Bathurst based artist Steve Hogan. O’Regan and Hogan have been working with Harrie for 8 years and have had great success exhibiting through out NSW and at Sculpture by the Sea Bondi. Hogan won Sculptures in the Garden 2019.

FAQs:
- Catering; Morning Tea and coffee will be provided. Bring your own lunch (yes there is a microwave and mini fridge available). You can buy lunch from the takeaway shop or the IGA across the road. Five minute walk to the Grove Café (open Wed- Saturday 7-2pm)
- Local accomodation; The Coronation Hotel, Portland, The Grove Abode, Portland or the Black Gold Motel, Wallerawang
- Informal Workshop Dinner at the Coronation Hotel; Saturday evening 6pm
- Parking available onsite
- Covid 19 Measures being taken, please take care of yourself and those around you.
- Please bring riggers gloves, eye protection and a dust mask (for grinding dust)
- Wear long sleeves, cotton (ie unflammable) and boots
- Extra Welding helmets, and sanitizer spray and cloths will provided
- *Please bring your own welding helmet if you have one!
- All equipment (including welders, grinders, and drills provided), please bring any equipment you would like advice about.
- **Please bring an assortment of found steel; looking for interesting shapes and colours – but any pieces will do! You can visit local engineering shop and (ask sweetly) raid their scrap bin.
- *** There will be an assortment of steel available for experimentation/ use… so don’t panic if you don’t have a collection to bring.
