This workshop is the second in our 12-month program of locally-led workshops presented by the Huon Women's Health Collective.

Thanks to funding from the Huon Valley Council Liveability Fund, this FREE afternoon workshop has been designed to support people navigating the fascinating, wild and sometimes downright challenging terrain of menopause.

What to Expect

Come and enjoy a cuppa with us as we learn about our bodies, break the taboos, and rewrite the scripts on what perimenopause, menopause and post-menopause is all about.

In this three hour workshop, you'll be guided by a Naturopath, GP, Social Worker and Pleasure Educator; All women's specialists, all at different stages of their own hormone journeys, all passionate about helping women understand this stage of life.

Join us for a rich, friendly, fun and explorative deep dive where you'll walk away feeling less confused and more empowered to navigate your midlife journey and beyond.

You don't have to be a certain age to attend this workshop. This is information we all need, at every age, stage and season.

Together, we will explore :

What our hormones are doing in midlife, what to expect and how to support our transitions
The 4 stages of `perimenopause and why it effects more than just our ovaries
The stories we've been told about menopause and ageing as females

Why orienting to pleasure and embracing mindful moments is a necessity, not a luxury
The shifts in your sexual and intimacy needs and your changing pleasure anatomy
Understanding perimenopause and menopause as a threshold and Rite of Passage
A guided meditation exploring what we are being invited to release, reclaim and reimagine
Create a personal symbol, intention or ritual for the season ahead

Q & A time to ask the questions you've been too scared to ask your mum & grandma
PLUS! A resource kit to take home, so you don't have to remember it all during the session (leaky brain is a thing, we get it)

Meet Your Facilitators

Lucy St Jack (she/her)

Integrative Naturopath, Medical herbalist, Educator, MotherCircle Faciliator, Farmer.

Lucy has over a decade’s experience as a Naturopath, having worked with hundreds of women locally and nationally. She has a realistic, holistic approach with advice that fits into the realities of everyday life.

Her work sits at the intersection of individual and community health, which led her to found the Huon Women’s Health Collective. She is driven by a passion for improving health literacy and creating systemic change in how we understand our bodies, approach medicine and value women’s health.

Brook River (she/her)

Social Worker, Teacher, School of Shamanic Womancraft, Whole Family & Child Therapist, based on the works of Rudolf Steiner, Resource Gathering Host.

Brook is a Huon Valley local Social Worker, teacher and ceremonialist. She has facilitated circles in Australia and across the world in her contribution to the School of Shamanic Womancraft, alongside Jane Hardwicke-Collings, for 20+ years. With a deep and complete understanding of how ceremony and process work can change how we approach life's thresholds, she brings simple and potent ceremony to all workshop offerings.

Karlyn Digitalis (she/her)

Pleasure Educator, Pelvic Wellness Bodyworker, Breathwork Therapist

Karlyn is a Pleasure Educator and trauma-sensitive breathwork and bodywork practitioner devoted to helping people reclaim safety, sensation and pleasure in their bodies. With over a decade in the field of Sexual Wellness, she specialises in Yoni Mapping Therapy and has guided close to 500 women through these deeply transformative body-based experiences. As a mother and peri-menopausal woman herself, Karlyn brings lived experience, depth and a grounded, compassionate approach to her work.

Melissa Catanzarite (she/her)

Dr Melissa Catanzarite is a Rural Generalist Registrar (GP) at Huon Valley Medical Services in Tasmania, specializing in holistic and decolonial approaches to healthcare. Melissa holds an MBBS and a Certificate of Sexual & Reproductive Health. Her clinical approach focuses heavily on providing holistic, respectful, and inclusive healthcare. She has a dedicated passion for sexual and reproductive health, driven in part by her personal experiences navigating endometriosis and perimenopause.
