Wellathlon - the Ultimate Wellbeing Triathlon
Event description
Get ready for the Wellathlon – the ultimate wellbeing triathlon!
Looking for a way to move, groove, and feel great, inside and out? The Wellathlon has got you covered! This unique event combines three exciting legs: a feel-good walk, a lively dance session (no alcohol required!), and a calming yoga flow. It’s all about meeting awesome new people, having fun, and embracing movement. There’s no pressure here – everyone’s a winner just by showing up and taking part! Mental health matters, and this event is a reminder that taking time for yourself and connecting with others can make a big difference to your wellbeing.
Whether you're busting moves on the dance floor, hitting your yoga mat, or strolling through the walk, you’ll leave feeling energised, proud, and full of positive vibes. All ages, stages, and fitness levels are welcome—everything will be tailored to you. Moving your body, unwinding your mind, and sharing time with others are all powerful ways to support your mental health, and the Wellathlon is designed to help you do just that.
And guess what? We’ve got some awesome spot prizes up for grabs, so you could walk away with something special just for joining the fun!
So, bring a mate and let’s have some fun – because wellness, inside and out, has never been this much of a party!
What to expect
Leg one: Walk and talk (1hr)
Kick-started by Rebecca from Wellbeing Counselling, a walk-talk counsellor who knows how to talk in the best way
possible! One of the reasons that walking counselling works is you don’t have to face the counsellor so it's less
intense. This leg is all about connecting and sharing while you walk. We encourage you to pair up with someone
new, have a good old-fashioned in-person yarn, and take in the sights and sounds of Mount Beach and Pilot
Bay.
Leg two: Dance like nobody's watching (1hr)
Maria and Sophie have crafted a playlist that will take you on a fun journey, starting slower and building up to some
hits that will have you sweating. Dancing is not only a great way to lift your spirits, but it’s also a fantastic
mood booster. If you're feeling nervous about shaking your booty while sober—we get it! A lot of people are at
first. We suggest starting with your eyes closed, and you'll soon realise you’re dancing like nobody’s watching
and enjoying the joy of being free.
Leg three: Yoga for the mind and body (1hr)
Amie from Body Fusion yoga will take us through a smooth and luscious flow that’s as much for the mind as it is for
the body. Yoga is a great practice to help calm the mind, reduce anxiety, and build mental resilience. It’s a
wonderful way to connect deeply with your body and find some peace.
