Rethinking Access, Support, and Care

Queer international students and migrants often navigate many invisible layers at once - family expectations, cultural stigma, financial pressure, isolation, discrimination, unfamiliar systems, and mental health support that may not feel accessible, safe, or prioritised.

Sometimes people are simply trying to get through study, work, or daily life.

So where does trust begin?

This interactive workshop invites practitioners, educators, community workers, peer leaders, and service providers to explore the complex experiences of LGBTQIA+ international students and migrants together.

Through conversations and storytelling activities, we will reflect on barriers to support, culturally responsive care, trust, communication, and how services and communities can engage people more proactively and meaningfully.

This is a space to listen, reflect, and rethink support together.
