Event description

Take a day out to nurture your wellbeing in the beautiful environment of Staveley Camp & Native Remnant Forest. 

You will experience;

  • Harakeke/ flax weaving with experienced tutor Vicky King
  • Tai Chi (a change from yoga as originally planned due to yoga tutor unavailability)
  • Shinrin yoku - forest bathing
  • Hammocks in the forest
  • Native seedling propagation
  • Opportunities to connect with others
  • Delicious lunch, morning and afternoon tea

Through these experiences, you’ll be putting into practice the 5 Ways to Wellbeing;

So set this day aside for yourself - to be refreshed & invigorated for the year ahead. 

No prior knowledge or experience is needed to participate in any of the activities. Please note this adults only event (16 yrs+) has only 36 places available. Please get in quick to secure your place. 

This event is part of the 2024 Wellbeing Weekend - focusing on forest and human wellbeing. It’s organised by Staveley Camp & Connecting Mid Canterbury. Those who help wrangle weeds on Saturday can stay the night at the camp (for free) on Saturday evening before joining us for the Wellbeing Day on Sunday.
