Wellington Leadership Group: Getting Great Advice
Event description
I'm delighted to welcome Steven Youngblood to present at this upcoming Wellington Leadership Group. During his presentation, Seven will be sharing his thoughts on 'Getting Great Advice'.
Our teams produce a lot of advice.
We have whole teams whose job is to research, analyse and assess information and help inform executive and other decisions. Sometimes analysis and advice can miss the mark, which can be because of a disconnect between what management wants and how they commission work. Even when you have great commissioning, teams can get caught up on answering every angle or otherwise lose focus on how advice can be used by decision makers. When this happens, advice can linger or bounce around without agreement, or we look to outside sources for advice we can use.
There are some things we can do to help us get and give great advice. This session will help you understand why focusing on answering the right questions makes for great advice you can use to make better decisions.
