Wellington Youth Choir in Concert - Nelson
Event description
The Wellington Youth Choir is going on tour to Nelson! The choir will present a concert that will delight all, exploring a wide range of music from classical choral works and sacred music to contemporary settings and choral arrangements of modern songs. Directed by acclaimed conductor Rowan Johnston and accompanied by Nick Kovacev, the choir is greatly looking forward to crossing the Cook Strait for this exciting opportunity.
Wellington Youth Choir is excited to collaborate with the Nelson Youth Choir who will be performing their own pieces in the concert, as well as joining with WYC to perform a combined work. The Nelson Youth Choir was formed at the end of 2019 and currently has around 20 young singers aged 12-24 from the Nelson Tasman region.
