Event description

Co-Active Life Design® “Wellness Wings®” A Mental Fitness Workshop for Women in Business and Leadership by Marie Bernardo and accredited by the Royal Australasian College of General Practitioners (RACGP)

Marie is an ICF-accredited coach and certified trauma-informed meditation teacher, who guides high-achieving individuals build mental and emotional fitness, equipping them with a diverse variety of practical tools, to respond—not just react—to life’s challenges.

Her proven and tailored approach supports a deeper shift in how stress, overwhelm and anxiety is experienced from the inside out.  Participants are provided with their own toolbox of effective management and coping strategies.

Why this matters:
Women remain disproportionately at risk of mental ill-health, often carrying the emotional load of striving, leading, caring, and managing expectations. Whilst many push through in silence, the cost is felt personally, across families, workplaces, and communities, preventing women from reaching their fullest potential.

Wellness Wings® is designed to change this narrative, so that wellbeing is not a luxury or an afterthought, but the foundation for how we live, lead, and thrive.

What is it?

  • A full-day, trauma-informed mental fitness workshop
  • A Royal Australasian College of General Practitioners (RACGP)-accredited program originally created for healthcare professionals
  • Facilitators are present to support and accompany participants
  • Morning Tea, Lunch and Afternoon Tea provided
  • Tailored specifically for women in business and leadership

What makes Wellness Wings® different?

  • We recognise that the ‘one-size-fits-all’ models do not work, as we each carry different blocks, trauma and prohibitive factors to inner peace and success.
  • Helps identify and shift what is truly holding women back (e.g. imposter syndrome, emotional fatigue, transgenerational trauma etc)
  • Uses a unique blend of:
    • Evidence-based strategies
    • Somatic practices
    • Mindset and self-awareness tools

What’s the experience like?

  •    Deeply reflective, practical, empowering and positive.
  •    Delivered in a safe, comfortable, trauma-sensitive environment
  •    Designed to meet women exactly where they are — no pressure to perform, no fixing — just guided discovery, support and strategies for ongoing evolution.

What do participants leave with?

  • Clarity on their triggers, activations, and deeper patterns influencing their wellbeing
  • Practical tools to regulate emotions, strengthen resilience, and stay grounded
  • A sense of emotional release, renewed confidence, and ownership of their personal and professional growth
  • A desire to continue their positive personal empowerment and evolution,
  • The ability to inspire others through their newfound calm and non-reactivity

About Your Facilitators

Head Facilitator - Marie Bernardo

Marie Bernardo, founder of Co-Active Life Design, is an accredited ICF coach and certified trauma-informed meditation teacher, committed to helping individuals navigate life’s complexities with resilience and clarity. She focuses on equipping her clients with practical tools to manage stress, anxiety, and overwhelming emotions, while offering compassionate support to help them uncover their inner strengths and access valuable resources they may not yet realise they have.

Drawing from a range of evidence-based modalities, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), Somatic and Schema Therapy, and Strength/Neuro Coaching, Marie tailors her approach to each individual’s needs, rejecting the one-size-fits-all model and recognising that everyone’s journey is unique. With a background in Trauma-Sensitive Mindfulness and training in Anxiety, Depression, and Trauma Disorders, Marie offers a comprehensive toolkit designed to support lasting personal growth and emotional well-being. She creates a safe, non-judgmental space where clients can process their experiences, identify unhelpful patterns, and develop the skills to manage life’s complexities.

Having personally navigated and continues to navigate a chronic health condition, Marie understands the transformative power of these tools and practices. Her experiences fuel her commitment to helping others overcome stress, anxiety, and overwhelm, and build a balanced, fulfilling life.
