Welcome to Wellspace

Wellspace Sauna Club offers a unique outdoor social wellness experience based around sauna and cold water immersion. Wellspace is pioneering the way we connect with ourselves and each other through meaningful conversations, heart based connection and celebrations in nature. These transformational community experiences attract open high-vibe people, offering a social space to nourish and nurture your mind, body and soul.

Sunday session is our most popular community gathering, with the pizza oven available until 5pm.

--------------------------- Monday & Friday 6:00-8:00pm --------------------------- 
Join us after work at the beginning and/or end of your week for a 2 hour sweat, more orientated towards silent rounds sessions.

Please note, the pizza oven is only available during Sunday Sessions.
Sometimes there is a private booking that lands on these days, check visible dates for booking availability.

🚴🏼Getting there
  59 Boyd Road, Kawarua Falls, Queenstown
  We are privileged to be using one of Queenstown's most uniquely secluded and idillic private properties in the Whakatipu Region. Sunvale Estate is a locally owned 24 acre property, hosting some of the regions most beautiful wildlife, located on the banks of the Kawarau River. We ask that you respect the land and local residence by leaving your dogs at home.
-  Follow the arrows and road cones down to the located parking area and park uniformly. 
-  Arrive 10-15mins early so you can have a cuppa before hand and get yourself settled in on time.
 - Find Rick or one of the team upon arrival and introduce yourself. Don't be shy, come say hi.

😎 Chill Space
 Being an outdoor company, we use marquees as our safe space from the elements. We ask that you use the cubby holes provided to stash your gear in or neatly on the ground. We love it when people are tidy.
 There is a small changing room for your privacy in the corner if you wish to change into your bathing suit. We do encourage people to go nude if they feel comfortable to do so (a very common European practice).  We do ask that you bring your towel into the sauna to sweat in or on.
 You will be given a group number upon arrival, and will ring the bell at the start of every round. The second round will start 15mins later. We operate on a first in first served  basis;  if you arrive late, you may have to wait.
🧐 How does it work?
Essentially; there are x2 groups of 8 people, sauna for 15 minute rounds of steam infused aromatherapy, followed by ice baths or cold therapy (for at least 30 seconds is recommended). The next round will happen in 15minutes time so allow your body temperature to naturally re-regulate.  Groups rotate for a 2 hour period for a total of 3 rounds.

🔥 Sauna / Hot 🔥
Once the bell rings, the first group of 8 are up. Grab your towel, water bottle and head over to the cold shower on the back of the sauna. for a rinse before entering. Yeehaa! We rinse off under the cold before entering as part of our hygienic practices. You will then be welcomed into the sauna by the meister and be given the safety briefing. Please follow all crew instructions as they are there to keep you safe. For more safety information, please refer to the bottom of the page.  Please note, if you have any medical concerns, please advise the sauna meister before entering.
💦  Ice Bath / Cold  💦 

Once your 15 minutes are up, it's now time to     cool down. This process is called contrast hydrotherapy; using water as a medium for therapeutic benefits. Rinse off under the shower before entering the ice bath so we keep it clean for the next round. You will be dipping into icy cold water - literally. Breathing in your nose, out your mouth, see if you can last at least 30 seconds. That's your goal. We encourage you to see if you can make 2 minutes. This is where the health benefits really starts to kick in.

🌱 Relax / Rest  🌱
Take the time to really feel into what your body is going though - an incredible rush of endorphines that flood the body, making you feel a natural high.

💫 x3 Repeat
You will be rotating with the other group and have at least 3 rounds of Sauna and cold therapy.

🕺What to bring?

  • x2 Towels & togs (or nude)
  • Water bottle 
  • Proof of booking
  • Warm clothes (dressing gown and booties are recommended)
  • *BYO food for pizza/drinks/snacks etc. Wellspace only provides the facilities. 

This event is alcohol, drug and smoke/vape free.
We have a no dog policy, please leave them at home.

Please read the terms and conditions and make sure you understand the risks involved before electronically signing the waiver.
Inform a team member if you have a medical condition prior to entering the sauna or cold water. Please note that it is not recommended to participate in the sauna or cold plunge if you have any heart or brain dis-ease or if you are pregnant. Please consult a doctor if this is you. 
Please take 15minute breaks in between sauna and stay hydrated. 
When going from hot to cold, take your time. Let the nervous system re-regulate first otherwise you may get dizzy.
All children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by and actively supervised by a parent or guardian. 
Follow all instructions from the team member on duty.
