In My Alaskan Journey, wildlife camerawoman Erin Ranney explores four unique areas of Alaska’s coast, revealing stunning landscapes and iconic wildlife along the way. Guided by Alaska’s history, her family’s stories, and her own memories, Erin’s journey weaves the past with the present, and paints a hopeful future for the land and wildlife of coastal Alaska.

Sonora is an experiential short documentary that explores the human sensory connection to nature through the mind of Juan Pablo Culasso, a blind birder in Colombia.

Erin Ranney (Director, My Alaskan Journey)
Erin Ranney is a wildlife cinematographer based in Washington State, Alaska and the Falkland Islands. She has a degree in Wildlife Ecology and a master's in Wildlife Documentary Production. She’s filmed for companies such as BBC, PBS, Smithsonian, Disney+ and National Geographic. For the past 2.5 years, she’s been working on the new National Geographic/ Disney+ series Queens. She was also a presenter and camerawoman on a children’s conservation series for CBBC in the Falkland Islands on rockhopper penguins.
Jack Johnston (Director, My Alaskan Journey)
Jack Johnston is a broadcast Editor and Drone Cinematographer based out of Bristol, UK. Over the last 10 years, he has worked across a range of Natural History productions for companies such as the BBC, Netflix and National Geographic. He has worked on a number of award-winning live TV shows for the BBC such as Big Blue Live and Blue Planet Live. His drone work has taken him across the world, from filming Blue Whales in Mexico to the Cherry Blossom Trees of Japan.
