We're All Going to the World's Fair taps into something so dark about generations that grew up with the internet, but unlike so many other films, this one really does understand it. The dissociation, loneliness and dysphoria that trans people feel (although this can apply to anyone) is portrayed in a way that feels relatable and bleak but still has some beauty that shines through.
Jane Schoenbrun for so many queer people has become a filmmaker we look to that depicts how we really feel on such a deep level beyond basic cliches, especially on a scale like We're All Going to the World's Fair and I Saw the TV Glow (which we're also screening!)
Doors open at 5:30pm and film starts at 6pm sharp
