WeRISE (Working to Eradicate In Science and Engineering) Summit
Event description
The WeRISE (Working to Eradicate Racism In Science and Engineering) Summit aims to bring together a community of people concerned with racial justice as well as economic, gender, disability, health, environmental, climate, and other social justices. As equity, community engagement, and justice are emerging research concerns in science and engineering, this conference hopes to bring together students, teachers, scholars, scientists, and practitioners of engineering as well as the wider community and community partners. The summit is dedicated to showcasing the most recent research and curricula at the nexus of engineering, social justice, and community engagement. The WeRISE Summit will be held on May 24, 2024 at the University of California, Berkeley in a hybrid format. Please visit our website for more information
