Werribee Gorge via Shelter Shed and Short Circuit Track
Where: Meet at the trailhead, Meikle Point Picnic Area
When: Saturday, April 4
Time: Meet at 8:30 AM for an 8:45 AM start
Distance: ~7.4km loop
Grade: Moderate - Grade 4 | ~3 hour walk
Expect rocky trails, sweeping panoramic views, and stretches of river walking that make this one of the most varied and exciting hikes around. The track winds through the gorge with some steep ascents and descents on loose and uneven terrain, so you'll definitely earn the reward, tucked along the way are stunning hidden beaches that are hard to walk past without jumping in.
A brilliant day out for anyone who loves a hike with a bit of everything.
