Wes Carr - The Springsteen Songbook: Unplugged

Saturday 31st Oct | 3pm | BYO | Ages 13+

Fresh from two sold-out shows at Sydney Fringe, acclaimed singer-songwriter Wes Carr celebrates the extraordinary music of Bruce Springsteen - one of the greatest songwriters and storytellers of all time—in his hometown!

Across his own remarkable career, Wes has often been compared to Springsteen for his unmistakable voice, emotionally charged performances and gift for transforming lived experience into unforgettable songs. A multi-platinum recording artist, ARIA chart-topper and winner of Australian Idol, Wes has performed across Australia and the United States, spent years immersed in Nashville’s songwriting community and collaborated with some of the world's most respected musicians.

A sought-after collaborator, Wes has worked with some of Australia's most iconic musicians, including members of Cold Chisel (co-writing the song "Lost" for the band) and was a founding member of Tambalane alongside Silverchair's Ben Gillies. His songwriting and performances have earned him the respect of audiences and fellow artists alike.
Following his return to Australia in 2026, Wes entered a remarkable new chapter in his career. He starred in the acclaimed Highway to Hell – The Rock 'N' Roll Circus opposite Mahalia Barnes, headlined the inaugural Queensland Fringe road trip through regional Queensland, and performed at the legendary Mundi Mundi Bash and The Gympie Muster.

Now, he brings that experience, musicianship and storytelling instinct to a songbook that has inspired generations.

With his voice & guitar, Wes will rip through some of Springsteen’s most beloved songs, including Born to Run, Dancing in the Dark, Thunder Road, The River, I’m on Fire, Hungry Heart and more.

This is not an impersonation or traditional tribute show. It is one acclaimed Australian songwriter celebrating another - exploring the stories, characters, heartache, hope and humanity woven through Springsteen’s music.

Raw, joyful and deeply personal, The Springsteen Songbook: Unplugged invites audiences closer than ever before. Expect soaring vocals, unforgettable melodies, surprising stories and some of the greatest songs ever written, delivered by one of Australia’s finest live performers.

For lifelong Springsteen fans and newcomers alike, this is a rare chance to experience these iconic songs in their most intimate form - and to join Wes Carr at the beginning of an exciting new musical chapter.

This is one experience not to be missed - book now.
