Boneo Village Drum and Dance
Event description
You are welcome to join us for an evening of drumming and dancing in the light of the West African Mandé traditions. We will gather at the Revillaging Project at 5pm. Our evening with proceed as follows:
5-6.30pm Traditional Drum Circle Workshop with Djulz Chambers (Soul Circles Drumming). All drums will be provided, or bring your own if you wish!
6.30-6.45pm Hydration and transition
7-8pm Traditional Dance Workshop with Lou Wang. Lou's class will be supported by a live ensemble of traditional drummers, featuring Jordan Scotney, Djulz Chambers, Nik Moon and Luca Romani. The workshop will conclude with light stretching accompanied by live Mbira music.
No previous experience with either drumming or dancing is required to participate. Please wear loose clothing or yoga gear for our dance component.
