Come and Try Paddling
Saturday 7th September 2024
OAS Paddling Stage 1-3 – Kayak or Canoe
Youth members aged 11 years plus (Scout Section up) will have the opportunity to undertake a half day paddling activity of 3 hours.
Your Section Leaders do not need to attend, there will be qualified Scout Paddling Leaders running each session.
Youth will have the opportunity to:
• work on Paddling Stages 1 - 3.
• capsize and get wet (weather dependant).
• develop navigation skills, paddling around Delfin Island, West Lakes

SESSION:
The day will consist of a morning or afternoon session.
There are 7 places available for paddling in a kayak and 5 places available for paddling in a 2 person Canoe, in each session.
Morning session: Stages 1 – 3 – Kayak
8:30 – 11:30pm
Morning session: Stages 1 – 3 – Canoe
8:30 – 11:30pm
Afternoon session: Stages 1-3 - Kayak
12:30pm – 3:30pm
Afternoon session: Stages 1-3 - Canoe
12:30pm – 3:30pm

BOOKING:
• Y4 MUST be completed and emailed to abc.paddling.events@sa.scouts.com.au by Friday 30th August 2024

PAYMENT:
• Cost: $20 per person
REFUNDS:
• Payable in the event the activity is cancelled by organisers.
YOUTH LEADERS / ADULT HELPERS:
• Youth leader and adult helpers are welcome to register and attend
• Youth leaders and adult helpers may have the opportunity to participate if the event is not fully booked by the 23rd of August 2024, cost $20 per person.
