West Tech Standup, in association with the Experimental Comedy Club, Grassroots Comedy

Doing standup is a bit like pitching your startup – you’re on stage, with a microphone, in the spotlight, for 5 minutes. Sink or swim. People laugh, or they don’t. Investors get it, or they don’t.

In a first for West Tech Fest, join a fun-filled night at, Johnny Fox’s, Northbridge for some laughs and an unforgettable evening. MC’d by professional comedian Matt Storer, see 10 up-and-coming local comedians.

Be the judge through your laughs, gasps and concerned silence. You get to say you saw it first!

In an added twist, the comedians will be given two tech-related phrases on the night, which they must try and weave into their 5-minute set.

This is Perth’s best bang-for-buck comedy showcase featuring comedians with a variety of styles and angles.

Get a group together and enjoy beers on tap, cocktails and food available to purchase during the show.

Refund policy

Refunds and exchanges 1. Subject to paragraphs 2 to 4 below, Tickets and Passes will be fully refunded or exchanged where the Event to which you purchased a Ticket is: o cancelled; o re-scheduled (and you cannot or do not wish to attend the re-scheduled Event); or o significantly re-located, 2. If an Event is cancelled mid-Event then the quantum of your refund will depend on the nature of the Event and the proportion of the Event completed. In such circumstances West Tech Fest will refund an amount which in its sole discretion is reasonable in the circumstances having regard to the nature of the Event and the proportion of the Event completed. 3. Subject to paragraph 16 below, you will not be eligible for a refund or exchange in the following circumstances: o if you purchased your Ticket or Pass from a ticket seller not authorised by West Tech Fest o if you do not provide, on request by West Tech Fest, proof that your Ticket or Pass was purchased from a Ticket seller authorised by West Tech Fest; o if the Ticket was free or complimentary; or o your grounds for requesting the refund or exchange consist solely of one or more of the following grounds:  the standard of the Event did not meet your expectations;  you were unable to attend the Event for any reason, including illness, transport failure or delay, or you chose not to attend the original Event for which you purchased the Ticket;  you were refused entry to the Event or evicted from the Event for any reason set out in paragraph 12 above;  the Ticket price was altered after the time at which you purchased your Ticket; or  your Ticket was lost, stolen or is invalid. 1. In circumstances not covered by paragraphs 1 to 2 above, West Tech Fest may offer a discretionary refund. A discretionary refund will only be offered if you made the request within five working days of the Event. 2. If you are entitled to a full refund of the price of your Ticket, then the refund will not include the service charge.
