The Western Australia Agritourism Association is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to supporting the growth and development of the agritourism industry in Western Australia. We are a member-based association, driven by a shared passion for promoting the unique experiences and diverse offerings of our state’s agricultural sector.

Our Values:

Our actions are guided by the following core values:

Sustainability: We strive to promote environmentally responsible practices and encourage sustainable tourism initiatives within the agritourism industry.
Collaboration: We believe in the power of working together. We foster a strong sense of community and collaboration among our members, connecting them with industry experts and fostering relationships to share knowledge and best practices.
Innovation: We embrace creativity and encourage new ideas within the industry. We support our members in exploring innovative ways to attract visitors and enhance their offerings.
Quality: We are committed to promoting excellence and high standards in agritourism experiences. We work to ensure that visitors to Western Australia have memorable and enriching encounters with our agricultural heritage.

Our History:

The Western Australia Agritourism Association was founded in 2024 by three passionate individuals: John Stanley of Chestnut Brae Farm in Nannup, Jan Stewart of Forage Safaris in Busselton, and Andy Burns of Scott Aussie Tourism Marketing in Manjimup. They recognised the potential of agritourism to contribute to the economic and social well-being of rural communities and set out to create a platform for collaboration and growth within the industry.

What We Do:

The Western Australia Agritourism Association actively supports its members and the broader agritourism industry through a range of activities:

Advocacy: We represent the interests of our members to government and other stakeholders, advocating for policies that support the growth and development of agritourism.
Networking: We organise events and provide platforms for members to connect with each other, share ideas, and learn from industry experts.
Education & Training: We offer training programs, workshops, and resources to help members improve their businesses and gain new skills, equipping them with the tools they need to succeed in the agritourism sector.
Marketing & Promotion: We promote agritourism experiences in Western Australia to potential visitors through marketing campaigns, partnerships, and collaborations with tourism organisations.
Events & Activities: We organise events and activities for both our members and the general public, showcasing the diversity and beauty of Western Australia’s agritourism offerings.
