Join Us for a Western Night

18 years + only event

Well howdy everyone, hope you are ready for a boot scootin' good time!

Albury Wodonga Social Connections (AWSC) invites you to 'pull on your boots and put on your hat' and come along to their Western Night themed event! It will be full of conversation, games, music, food AND line dancing with Charli! A fun way to meet and connect with others in a safe and facilitated environment.

Wear your favourite Western themed outfit!

There will be card and board games, puzzles, photo booth, finger food, music and of course, line dancing with Charli. 

Cost: $30 a ticket per attendee (includes finger food, non-alcoholic drinks, games, activities, photos, line dancing with Charli). 

Please note: If you are bringing a support person with you, and they wish to participate in the line dancing activities, they will need to pay $15 on the night directly to Charli. Please bring correct tender.

After you have registered and paid for the event, an Event Guide will be emailed to you. The Event Guide outlines information about what to expect on the night and will also explain what line dancing is.

Please note: there is NO speed meet activity occurring at this event 

Guidelines for the evening:

- All attendees are required to be 18 years of age and above to attend the event.

- Transport to and from the venue is the responsibility of each attendee.

- No alcohol is available at this event, and no BYO alcohol is permitted. As mentioned above, non-alcoholic drinks are included in the ticket price.  

- If you require additional supports to assist you during the evening, please discuss this with your team to ensure they are available to attend and support you. This is important as no direct support is available on the night. There is a perceived level of competency for support workers in attendance.

- Please note, there will be discussions occurring during the evening about friendships, relationships, dating apps, online safety, etc. Any restrictions or concerns about these topics should be considered prior to registering.

- All attendees have the right to feel safe during the event. Any person who attempts to intimidate or harass another person on the evening will be asked to leave.

- Photographs will be taken on the night of the event. Attendees will be provided copies of photos with them in it. Please advise volunteers on the night if you DO NOT want your photo taken.

- There will be games, activities and line dancing associated with a Western theme to assist you to HAVE FUN, MINGLE and MAKE SOCIAL CONNECTIONS!

Can I bring a support person with me?

Yes you can bring a support person with you on the night.

Does my support person need to pay to attend with me?

No, your support person does not need to pay to attend with you. We ask that you let us know if you are bringing a support person with you for overall numbers in the room. 

Please note: If your support person is going to participate in the line dancing activities, they will need to pay $15 on the night directly to Charli. Please bring correct tender.

What do you use my photo/image for and why do you ask for my consent?

We utilise photos/images to promote future events via social media platforms to show others what the event involves. However, we respect your privacy and if you decide that you do not want your photo taken, we will make sure that no image of you is utilised on social media when we promote the event/activity undertaken.
