Forget the city noise; we’re trading the urban grind for peaceful bush tracks, beautiful natural scenery, and a great day out! Join your energetic guide, Beckie, for an epic walk on Saturday, September 26th at the spectacular Moonrise Loop, exploring peaceful bushland, open trails and incredible city views. This isn’t just a walk; it’s a high-vibes mission to get outdoors, enjoy the scenery and soak up some fresh air.

🚨 CRITICAL BECKIE ANNOUNCEMENT: We’re getting underway at 10:45 AM sharp. Please allow enough time to park at Lizard Log West Carpark and make your way to the Lizard Log Park Nature Playground (sandpit area) meeting point. Beckie waits for no one!

🗺️ THE "MOONRISE LOOP" ROUTE

We aren't just walking; we're getting out amongst the trees and enjoying a fantastic mix of bushland, open spaces, wildlife, and sweeping views.

The Meeting Point: We’ll meet at the Lizard Log Park Nature Playground (sandpit area). Parking is available at the Lizard Log West Carpark.
The Moonrise Loop: We’ll head out on the 6.2 km walk that takes in many of Western Sydney Parkland’s greatest sight with bushland, trails, and natural scenery.
The Bush Tracks: Expect a mix of natural tracks and walking trails, with plenty of opportunity to enjoy the great outdoors.
Highlights: Moonrise Lookout, which offers sweeping panoramic views across the region and, on a clear day, all the way to the Sydney city skyline. The area is a great spot for birdwatching, and you may also spot eastern grey kangaroos, wallabies, and goannas along the way.
The Return: We’ll complete the loop and make our way back to Lizard Log, wrapping up the walk around 1PM before heading out for celebratory drinks and lunch.

🎒 YOUR OUTDOOR SURVIVAL KIT

👟 Footwear: Actual sneakers or walking shoes. We’re heading onto bush tracks and walking trails, so leave the smooth soles at home.
☀️ Sun Protection: Hat and sunscreen. Even under the trees, the sunshine can catch you off guard.
💧 Hydration: Bring plenty of water to keep you comfortable throughout the walk.
🧢 The Essentials: Comfortable clothes, sunglasses, and anything else you normally like to bring on a bushwalk.
