Wet Felting a 3D Vessel Workshop | BEECHWOOD

This event has passed Register

Event description

Come along and enjoy the fun of creating a piece of art in your own vision— Hands on Creativity Expands The Mind!

In this workshop we will use colourful dyed fleece (Australian Merino sheep wool rovings) to produce a 3D vessel that is an amazing work of art! Using our imagination, we will create a stunning piece of felted art that is a Bottle Bag.

Wet felting is the technique of using moisture, soap, gentle agitation and time, to make felt using wool fibres. The basic techniques of felt-making are not difficult to learn, however the activity does involve a bit of physical exertion, as we will be rolling the wool backwards and forwards repeatedly, so please keep that in mind when booking.

All materials required for the class will be provided. But, please bring 2 old towels as we will be needing to dry our hands often and may need to sponge water off our works at times. Also bring a bag to take home your felt as it will still be damp.

Please note: Attendance at one of the Beginners Wet Felt classes or prior knowledge/experience with wet felting is required.

Small classes ensure personal attention plus we have fun in a creative and nurturing environment. No mistakes, just opportunities to learn and be creative 😊❤️

Participation is free. Registrations essential.
