WE THE LAND! 2026

We the Land! is a biennial gathering uplifting Indigenous, Black, & Brown Earth Workers, Land Stewards & Farmers, creating a weekend container of knowledge exchange, grassroots organizing, land relations celebration, and sacred ceremony. Join us August 7th-9th 2026 at Smith College in Northampton, MA!

In the midst of (un)expected global and political challenges, We the Land! is an invitation to pause, gather, and strategize collective futures in conversation with Northeast Farmers of Color Land Trust’s community-led network rooted in the following:

• Interrupting the isolation often associated with being farmers of color in the Northeast by building relationships of mutual respect and joy, the foundation of community care, and movement work.

• Sharing skills, resources, and time— building collaborative projects and initiatives.

• Coordinating our policy demands and catalyzing reparations for Black-Indigenous-POC farmers and land stewards.

• Collectively envisioning, enacting, and sharing ways to be in reciprocity with Land, in the process healing generational trauma and redefining the meaning.

After the gathering seeds, planted, tended to, and fostered during We the Land! 2024, we are thrilled to once again call in and connect our mycelial network of farmers, gardeners, activists, organizers, healers, artists, ceremonial holders, and all who orient within the intersections of land, food, and climate justice.

¡Somos la Tierra! Es un encuentro bienal que celebra a los trabajadores, protectores y agricultores de la tierra indígenas, Negres, Latinx, Asiátiques, SWANA y de Color durante un fin de semana en el que se crea un espacio de intercambio de conocimientos, la organización de base, la celebración de las relaciones con la Tierra y las ceremonias sagradas. ¡Acompáñenos del 7 al 9 de agosto de 2026 en el Smith College de Northampton, Massachusetts!

En medio de (no)esperados desafíos globales y políticos, We the Land! es una invitación a hacer una pausa, reunirse y elaborar estrategias para un futuro colectivo en conversación con la red comunitaria Northeast Farmers of Color Land Trust, basada en lo siguiente:

• Romper el aislamiento de ser agricultores de color en el noreste desarrollando relaciones de respeto mutuo y gozo, la base de cuidado comunitario y la labor del movimiento. 

• Compartir destrezas, recursos y tiempo unes con otres para desarrollar proyectos e iniciativas colaborativas.

• Coordinar nuestras reclamaciones de políticas y catalizar reparaciones para les agricultores y protectores de la tierra Negres, indígenas y de color [BIPOC].

• Colectivamente visualizar, promulgar y compartir maneras para estar en reciprocidad con la Tierra y en el proceso sanar el trauma generacional y redefinir el significado de “agricultor” y nuestro cuidado por la Tierra y por nosotres.

Después de juntar semillas, sembrarlas, cuidarlas y cultivarlas durante We the Land! 2024, estamos súper contentos de volver a reunir y conectar nuestra red micelial de agricultores, jardineros, activistas, organizadores, sanadores, artistas, sostenedores ceremoniales y todos los que se orientan en las intersecciones de la Tierra, los alimentos y la justicia climática.
