Event description

Join us at Hoyts Wairau for a FREE event hosted by Auckland Council’s Healthy Waters and Flood Resilience, Pest Free Kaipātiki, and the Pupuke Birdsong Project to explore the beauty of wetlands!

A new wetland is coming to A F Thomas Park! It’s part of the Ngā Wairau Flood Resilience Project, designed to protect our community while supporting nature. Come along to learn how wetlands help support flood resilience, increase biodiversity, and make our urban spaces healthier and more sustainable.

We will be screening two Aotearoa-made documentaries. Registration is required, the first 30 attendees for each documentary will receive free popcorn and a drink. Follow the QR code to secure your spot.
