Since her election to Parliament in 2019, Zali has raised the need for action on key social and economic issues including: climate, tax reform, childcare, paid parental leave and domestic violence.

Prior to political life, Zali was a practicing Barrister specialising in commercial law, family law and sports. She is also Australia’s most successful alpine skier, having won a bronze medal in slalom at the 1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano, and a World Championship gold medal in 1999.
