Wild Gorge Skyrunner 16

Wild Gorge Skyrunner events began in 2022.

The Wild Gorge Skyrunner adventure begins and finishes at the Macora Brook on George St opposite Byford Dome Cafe near the new Byford train station.

It will take your running to great heights with an average elevation gain for each race similar to what is experienced at the UTMB world championships on the Mont Blanc mountain in Europe.

The entry level events are the half VK 15km and Vertical Kilometre (VK) 24km.

For a more extreme challenge there is the Vertical Mile 28km and the V2K 35km.

All races feature truly amazing scenic views of Byford and Wungong Gorge from the Darling Range, some steep 140m+ ascents, some single-track and Wungong Brook creek crossings.
